This is my contents page for my college magazine which would follow my front cover. I choose to make them very similar and have same style as this would look more professonial and would also flow better. If I used differnet texts and colours, this might of thrown the reader off and disengaged them from the magazine which would be the last thing I would want to do.

I used the same white background to keep the style modern and the same blue and green. I used a much smaller image and only small doses of colours to not distract from the main text on the page. I had the same masterhead to simply remind the students it is still relating to East Norfolk Sixth Form College.

I choose to have a lot more text on this page, maybe a bit too much, just explaining what you can find in the magazine and where you can find the information. I wanted to make sure the students knew exactly what was in the magazine, and although the style of this page is still minimulistic, there is a lot of text. I still kept sentences short as to not bore the readers.

This is my magazine for the preliminary task. I choose this photograph as i think it looks quit professional which gives my magazine a high standard automatically. I also went with a whit background so it looked simple and fresh, and i think many college students would be attracted to more modern cover with the simplistic white background. I used the same font throughout the cover and i choose one which suited the minimalistic style as well. The two brighter colours which i used for the font can be found on the notebook within the image which i thought would give it a more professional feel the just using random bright colours.

The language which i used on the front cover was kept simple as college students may just get bored or confused using long technical jargen before even looking inside the magazine. I choose to have two main headers. The first one in green is 'EMA CUTS' I choose this as one because even though it is quite poticital, almost every student would relate to this and using the simple language shows how within the magazine, it would be explain as simply as possible as a lot of students may get confused reading poticital language and may not understand fully. The second main header I used was 'COLLEGE PARTY', i choose this one as the second to maybe show a more fun, informal side of the magazine as nearly all the students would like to know information about this as this would be a past time or a more luxury side to college which they would dwele on.
